Welcome to Gerdenphotos our ever evolving website devoted to all things nature. Our subject matter includes many shore birds such as herons, egrets, brown and white pelicans, cormorants, and oystercatchers. We also have a variety of backyard birds. Our photos include cardinals, bluejays, goldfinches and bluebirds. Migrating birds shown are harlequin ducks, pintail ducks and hummingbirds.
Our butterfly photos include monarchs, swallowtails, buckeyes,
piano keys, birdwings, white morpho, and helconius.
We also like to photograph flowers. You will see a wide variety of irises and roses. The colors range from deep purple and white to peach, cream and deep orange.
We have photos of east coast beach scenes, which show beautiful sunrises and sunsets. For those of you that had visited
Long Beach Island, New Jersey we have photos of the iconic
shack, which was lost to superstorm sandy. Photos of the shack include different seasons or holidays. Also vistors to
Seaside Heights will recognize the Jet Star roller coaster as it
sat in the Atlantic Ocean.
Our Fall photos scenes include water reflections, country roads,
woodlands and mountains.
We have a variety of east coast lighthouses. We photographed
Peggy' Cove up in Nova Scotia, Portland Head and Bass harbor
in Maine, Scituate in Massachusetts, Bodie Island and Cape
Hatteras in North Carolina and Ponce Inlet and St Augustine in
Florida.
New Jersey Lighthouses photos show Sandy Hook, Barnegat Inlet, East Point in Heislerville, and Habor of Refuge Lighthouse
in the Delaware Bay.
